BIOGRAPHY: Charles was mentioned by name in the will of his grandfather, John Shearin, and also appears as follows: NOTE: There is a deed, record in Grainville Co., N.C. book 6, page 128 in which on Dec. 17, 1833 John Shearren Sr. of Wake Co. N.C. sells for $168.00 84 acres of land to Moses Shearren, Charles Shearren and Drury Shearren.  This land was located in Grainville County on the waters of the Little ledge of Rock Creek with the Grainville/Wake County line as one of the bounds. This must have been Charles Jr. who would have been about age 50 in 1833.  John Shearren Sr. had to be the same person listed elsewhere herein as John Shearin Jr. and he had a son named John listed herein as John Shearin III.

Moses Shearren probably was Moses Shearren Jr. son of Moses Shearin Sr. brother of Charles Sr.

Drury Shearren could have been a son of Drury Shearin, son of John Shearin Jr.  His name was signed on this deed as Drury S. Sheron
